 Business War Gaming Technique

Whereas the previous TLS in Zurich chose scenario analysis to develop alternative futures of the asset management industry, today's TLS adopts business war gaming techniques to test the implications of the most likely voted scenario e-Volution, on the specific topic of the future of distribution in asset management.

Gaming techniques have been practiced for decades in the military and political worlds, however, it is only recently that business war gaming has identified as an effective technique for predicting and planning corporate or cross-industry strategies. The advantages of using war gaming techniques is that we can learn directly from the games since the participants are actual managers who react just as they would in a real-life situation.

For this summit, Thought Leaders will be divided into teams representing the landscape of competitors in asset management distribution. Teams will play in two specific moves around the different corporate strategies to react on possible future developments.
